Verdant Heirloom is a creative research and development project exploring speculative fashion in a distant future where plant life is rare, precious, and essential for survival. In this world, each individual must carry a living plant as a personal source of energy and oxygen, transforming botanical life into both a life-support system and a symbol of value. The project envisions fashion-forward figures wearing translucent garments, futuristic gear, and jewel-like accessories designed to protect, display, and integrate these plants into the body. Clothing and jewelry function as hybrid systems ornamental, technological, and ecological where transparency, light, and organic materials define status and identity.
